Asbestos Survey Report
The final report will, depending on the type
of survey undertaken, contain the following sections:
- General site and survey information;
- Survey report;
- Bulk analysis report;
- Risk assessment/management report.
General site and survey information will include
- The survey details;
- The purpose of the survey and/or summary of client’s instructions;
- A description of the buildings included in the survey;
- A description of any buildings or sections specifically excluded from
the survey by the client or not accessible;
- The type and method of survey undertaken (Management or Refurbishment and Demolition);
- Any variations or deviations from the method.
The survey report will include:
- Summary of location of asbestos containing materials;
- Photographs of inspected materials;
- Marked up plans showing extent of asbestos materials: <see

- Product and asbestos type.
A Management Survey will include:
Both types of survey will include:
- The bulk analysis report from a UKAS accredited laboratory.
The risk management assessment report will (for each ACM located) give
results of:
- The material assessment category (high, medium, low or very low);
- The priority assessment score (where assessed). <see
example>
The report will also give, for each presumed or actual asbestos containing
material:
- The recommended management actions to be taken.
